The delicate Christian sensibilities of the Tennessee
school board have banned Maus from their
curriculum. Apparently there are eight
curse words in the book and an
image of a nude woman that
the holy people of the TSB
objected to, and that
is why they voted
10-0 to remove it.
I wonder (and I'm only asking the question, as my
fellow citizen Tucker Carlson would say) -
I wonder if it was the swear words and
the nudity or if it is just a teensy bit
of Anti-Semitism and just a
miniscule amount of
creeping Nazism
that drove the
decision.
I'm just asking
the question.
In any case -
Their decision to ban
the book has
propelled
it to #1
on the Amazon
Biographies and Historical
Graphic Novels lists.
I bought a copy.
The demand is such that
I won't get it until March.
All good things come to those who wait, right?
