A mother Canadian Goose is incubating her eggs. She and her husband
keep returning every year to this spot, a small island in the
middle of small pond, to add to their family. This pair was
named Romeo and Juliet by the park staff.
Some of R&J's offspring also return
to this small pond to add to their
own families. Romeo (not
seen in this pic), guards
his home by closely
patrolling the
perimeter of the pond,
both in the water
and on shore.
