A little ragamuffin sat like a mountain
beside the sea. High tide had
nearly peaked and so
waves crashed
in close
to
her seat.
Inspired, I found
my own perch, a deadfall,
from which I could watch and
listen to the the frothy hem
of the Sea Queen's
deep blue
gown.
