November, finally almost here.
The first eight days were some
other, sunnier, warmer month.
But now the clocks have rolled back and
the sun sets at 4:30 in the afternoon.
And the cold is almost here. Oh sure,
there's a slight chill in the air, but
that's just the herald for true November
rawness, and greyness,
and barrenness. Black, leafless limbs.
The spare palette of a world
bedding down for
winter.

It's finally almost here.
