Cheered

Audubon wildlife refuge 12/14/22

"Into The Woods"

Nikon D800
Lensbaby Composer - Double Glass Optic f5.6
Lightroom
Snapseed

Walking on a wide path into some woods, I noticed canine footprints. No domestic dogs were allowed where I found myself - must be coyotes - a lot of them.

I had left Walking Stick in Carl that day. So if I happened upon a coyote or six, the Nikon would have been pressed into service as a crude weapon..

The more I thought about the coyotes, the more I noticed even more of their prints. What if they were all watching me? What if??

Then - I came to my senses.. "You fool. Coyotes hardly ever attack adult humans. And - (and) - even if they should do so and tear you to bits and dine on your flesh, it would be far preferable to the more common way of exit in America - housed in some death warren for the elderly and/or marking time while some chronic disease patiently gnawed away at whatever was left of you."

Cheered - I strode into the woods.. "Bring it on boys. Bring it on..."
