Leaf season is slowly winding down to a trickle..

Nine or ten tarp-fulls of oak leaves from a neighbor's cluster of oaks have been dispatched. The yard is (more or less) tidy now.

It's not over though..

Those nearby oaks hold onto a small(ish) percentage of their foliage well into the winter.  All winter long, because of the prevailing winds, my yard is 'blessed' with leaves that fall from time to time, or get blown from the neighboring yard across the street.

As aggravating as the near-continuous stream of leafy invaders can be, it's also a lesson in letting go. Letting go of the foolishness of trying to keep a leaf-free yard.
