These particular plague blossoms come out
in the troughs between infection peaks.
They are stimulated by talk about
how the pandemic is over and
wow, how good is it to get
back to brunch. They
are also quite
enamored
by talk
about
how hard
it has been to wear masks,
how we are done* with the pandemic,
and how impatient we are to
go get sunny-side up eggs,
bacon, home fries, and
a bottomless cup
of joe.

*done - imagine if the Empire was
full of "doners" during WWII..
Why - half the country
now would be speaking
German and the other
half Japanese..
