A new Netflix documentary about boy-fucking in Boy Scouts just dropped. It's hard to believe but the Roman Catholic Church may have to relinquish its title of largest pedophile ring on the planet.. The new title-holder appears to be none other than the "God & Country" group - the Boy Scouts. It's impressive - because the Rome's Boyz have been at their craft of child rape a lot longer than the Boy Scouts have.. but still - according to the new Netflix documentary, prodigious numbers have come out of the Boy Scout organization.. Many thousands of predators.. over 82,000 victims.. The Scouts took a page from Rome's playbook in keeping boy-fucking on the down-low.. All the better to avoid scandal and keep the money rolling in.. not to mention fresh victims. They even had a red-flag file like the Roman crew had that tracked boy-fuckers. The Scouts declared bankruptcy in 2020 - saying that they did it to better pay victims' recovery expenses.. One would not have to be crazy to think they did this so that some inner coterie of execs could still grab the golden parachute on the way out.. I was a Boy Scout for a couple years. I quit because I could not stand the dicks that ran the troop.. One man in particular - Red was his nickname - was a huge fan of yelling and intimidation.. I always thought that Red was trying to relive his military / boot camp days by pushing around a bunch of kids.. Another reason I left scouts was the boy-on-boy bullying and sexual assault that happened on a regular basis. Sexual assault never happened to me, but I knew it happened.. Older boys preyed on younger boys. While I was a scout, the adults did nothing to stop it. The predation happened mostly during camping trips at a local Boy Scout camp where the kids slept in cabins.. There was no adult supervision in the boys' cabins.. And so a charming ritual used to take place where a young boy would be held down, taunted, his clothes removed and his genitals touched... I remember being in the cabin when the older boys were talking about the "Pantsing" ritual and one older boy hopped up on a bunk bed and danced in his underwear while patting his penis, saying how much he loved Pantsing.. I slept outside in a tent.. You may ask "Well - why didn't you say anything to an adult?" There's a simple answer to that. I didn't trust adults (including Mom and Dad) to correct a bad situation. My experience of adults was that they were a violent, unpredictable, and generally UNhelpful bunch. (I was a student in a Catholic school after all...) The guiding principle of my childhood was "Tell them nothing. Give them NOTHING." Many years after I was out of scouting, I learned that one of the
manly-man "leaders" tried to sexually assault one of the kids in my
neighborhood. Thankfully, the kid escaped his clutches before the
"leader" could play hide-the-salami with him.. After about 45 minutes into the Netflix documentary, I had to stop watching.. Too much... Too much RaGe came up. I took a break from watching it and freshened this post that originally came out on 2/18/20..
Tonight, I'll finish watching it.. |
