More Likely...

Everything is fine

I love this couch on the sidewalk proclaiming his freedom.

After long years of bad Netflix movies, having to share a room with stuffy chairs and faux-riche end tables that never gave him the time of day, enduring endless and claustrophobic family gatherings, and lately, having to put up with the ungrateful chatter that he was looking old, out-of-date, and worn - He got to be outside, breathing fresh air and feeling the sun on his cushions.

Until..

....someone comes along with a pickup, carts him away, spiffs him up with some Frebreze, and installs him in a new living room - maybe a livelier room - where colorful paintings hang on the wall, where there are sounds of laughter and rock-n-roll, and maybe even the scent of weed lingering in the air..

....or - [more likely]...

...the trash man comes along and he is scooped up and unceremoniously deposited into a stinking landfill to spend the rest of his days rotting away, covered with even more worn out, unloved pieces of human lives.

Either way though - he had his day outside..
